What is an Impact Conveyor?

An impact conveyor is a low-profile, heavy-duty conveyor. These types of conveyors are a great choice to handle heavy, sharp, or hot parts, particularly in abrasive environments or where airborne particulates are present. Impact conveyors can fit into small spaces, allowing users to make the best of the limited room in their facility. 

Impact conveyors use reinforced steel hinge belts to move parts to and from automated cells. Impact conveyors are ideal for hot and heavy objects with sharp edges. Depending on the load carried, impact conveyors are best applied in areas where robots or ejectors drop parts directly onto the conveyor.
